Mississippi River - One of the best loved attractions. The Mississippi River is the 4th longest river in the world, flowing 2,350 miles from Lake Itasca in Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico.
In Minnesota, the river flows through valleys, bluffs, prairies and woodlands in a variety of flow rates and widths. Portions of the river have been designated as "Wild and Scenic" as it is still in its natural state. The river is designated "scenic" from St. Cloud to Clearwater and "recreational" from Clearwater to Anoka.
So far, much of the Mississippi remains natural, but there are no assurances that the river's wildness will be protected unless citizens work to preserve the "Father of Waters"
St. Cloud/Clearwater RV Park is located a mile from the Mississippi and Clearwater Rivers for canoeing, kayaking, fishing and relaxing and a mile from Warner Lake County Park with hiking and biking trails, a swimming beach and fishing pier.
Paddle the Mississippi River with CW Outfitting. They have everything you need for a great day on the water. They will also pick up groups at the campground and shuttle to Warner Lake County Park and back. Check activities for dates
The Sportsman's Park is a 1/2 mile east of the campground and has an 18 hole disc golf course, children's play set and a bike trail that connects to Clearwater Parks providing a safe ride through the city.
The River County Bike Trail connects three city parks: Sportsman's, Riverside with fishing, picnic sites and playground and the Lions Park with a tennis court, playground and basketball court.
There is also a new archery park located in the wayside rest along Cty Rd 75
